The Oklahoma Senate Revenue Committee narrowly rejected House Bill 1203 (also known as the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Act) by a margin of 6-5. HB1203, introduced by Rep. The Senate committee voted 16 to 12 to approve the nomination of Howard Lutnick, the nominee for Secretary of Commerce. Mr. Lutnick, now chief executive of Cantor Fitzgerald, which manages Tether's multibillion-dollar Treasury debt business, was explicit in a CNBC interview: "I support cryptocurrencies, but specifically, only Bitcoin. Other tokens are off the table."
